Our Foundation Story

Maps Scraper was born from years of rebuilding the same solution across multiple businesses. Our founder, Manuel Biermann, found himself repeatedly building Google Maps scrapers for different ventures - from local marketplace startups to consulting clients needing multi-city data collection.

Each iteration taught valuable lessons about what businesses actually need from location data. Version 3 was the breakthrough: realizing that Google Maps listings are just the starting point, and the real intelligence lies on business websites. This led to our signature two-stage extraction approach.

The final evolution came when Manuel became the bottleneck in his own system. Teams couldn't use the scraper without technical intervention for each campaign.
